Assalamualaykom all,

How is everyone inshallah you all had a great Eid.

Ok As some of you may know we are building a factory in Ben slimane.

Hubby has been in magreb for about a month now

So he hired the builders and did a contract with them to have the first level finished in 6 weeks

But of course it didnt happen that way,The Guy he hired is giving him HELL,he id doing a very bad bodgy job and hubby is at his wits end.

Does anyone know how he can rectify this situation, where he can go to for help in absolving the contract or somehow getting compensated for the bad job this guy has done.

I know its hard to gets aroung all the stuffing around in morocco but im sure some here has had a similar experience and can help.

Jazakum allahu khair

Salam

The best people to ask are those in Morocco like  lawyers. With morocco there is no right or wrong. I know a guy who had an accident and became partially disable and the accident was not his fault but still the thieves changed the file and made  him to be in good health and was also responsable for the accident. he did not get a penny. where is the Justice???? what justice? Moroccan's Justice is money(bribery) and knowing people in Governement.

Sorry to be bleak but the only way  out is to deal with the builder yourself by force.

There is something known as a 'lamin for builders' who will investigate and make a report, you take that to the 'wakil lmalik' who will then chase it up. He will contact the lamin and builder and it gets taken from there.

Are the builders from ben slimane?
my hubby has alot of good contacts in benslimane, if you want his number he will be happy to speak to your husband.

assalamualykom,

Thank you for your quick replies,

I spoke to hubby and he told me that he bought in a lamin but the builder refuses to see him,he is being very stubborn and shifty.
He wants my husband to pay him some more money before he continues work and the irritating thing is that he is almost finished the job ,its about 2-3 weeks of work left to be done on it.

Mchicha the builders are from casa not benslimane,my husband would love to speak to your husband if i can have his number inshallah
May allah reward you for your help

If you are talking about the work being slow then that is very normal. you have to be there to monitor the workers. never trust anyone there cos majority are Shafara(thieves). if the work is not then properly then lamin can help but then  you need to push him more and more. it is the slow process that made us Moroccans leave Morocco. very annoying  that is why the majority of Moroccans have high blood pressure :D

Assalamualykom,

Yeah its not just that its slow he is just not doing a very good job, like the way he's building is not according to regulation and the baladiya(council) are not accepting it.

I know that they make you explode before they get anything done, hubby was just telling me that he isnt as moroccan as he used to be! ,He said he has changed alot and as a result he is going crazy having to deal with the mentality and shifty ways of the builders. He is pushing them alot, but they insisted on having 2 weeks off for the Eid !!,on top of that the builder quoted him triple the price for a certain material he needed!,subhanallah sometimes it really makes you want to give up on doing anything in your own country. Shocked
