Have you ever given blood? How was that experience?

I've been giving blood for some years now, I only went initially so that I could give my friend some moral support, she wanted to do it but has a fear of needles. I kept going, she only went once.

It doesn't feel like anything much, I've only had one time when it was a little uncomfortable and once I stupidly ran for a bus afterwards and felt a little faint, but all in all it's totally unremarkable.

I do it because I think it's a fine idea to pay into the blood bank in case you ever need to make a withdrawal. And of course to help those who need it.

My own view is that this planet is used as a penal colony, lunatic asylum and dumping ground by a superior civilization, to get rid of the undesirable and unfit. I can't prove it, but you can't disprove it either.

I have given blood, they give you tea and biscuits afterwards here, idea being to get your blood sugar levels up maybe or give you energy...should you wish to run for a bus directly after. Laughing Biscuits could do with being chocolate tho...in fact I haven't been for some while so maybe they stopped with the refreshments due to cost cutting. I had a bit of a bruise after the needle but I tend to bruise easily and it didn't last long.

I have also had blood, after an accident don't remember much about the after effects at the time. I was out of it.

It's very important to give blood as someones life may depend on it. Also organ donation I always carry a card and those that need to are informed of my wishes ...should the need arise.

I can only please one person a day, today is not your day ~ and tomorrow isn't looking good either.

They give you apple juice and crackers here hehe.

Oh yes. Organ donation. I want to do that, in fact I want to donate my body to science. But I doubt anyone would want my organs and they'd probably use my body for after-photos  only. laughing

I think I'll donate my body to science fiction.

I never did and will never do why should i give my blood  for? It is miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine :D(joking)
Actually i do bruise a lot and it hurts so much afterward that is why i don't  do it anymore . the last time  my hand was all purple for over a week and i was so tired having to explain to people.
Giving blood is important as well as donating organs. I was 5 minutes away from death when i had a life saving surgery once. so without blood donation i could have died
