I thought this thread could be a kind of virtual analysts couch...share those thoughts of randomness that may trouble you...maybe the sensible heads among us could offer solutions....

So why does time fly by so quick? what happened to the month of July? I worry if time gathers pace at it seems to I may not have time to fit in all I need to do. Does it seem looking back that the time seemed to go at a slower pace...or has it always been the same?

i have the same feeling too that time flies at a great speed esp from the last decade till now. For instance; many events still haunt you like they only happened yesterday. I can recall many happenings during last ramadan .. Daily routine and tasks to do.. Etc like a short period of time has gone not a whole year.

Time is a virtual thing. depending on the mind. a person who rush all day long will count the seconds and complains where as a person who is swiming , running or simply waiting for a result will find time so slow. strangly though Einstain was the first if i am correct(after lorenzo theory) to point out that time one earth is not the same as time on the space. when he was at school his physic teacher asked a question by saying when a train is coming onto a station which one moves the train or the station? everyone said the train but einstain said both. he was mocked but sadly for the teacher Einstain was right because virtually speaking if you are sitting on a train to you all things move but yourself ,This case is sometimes called special relativistic time dilation. similary relatively speeking since time and speed are connected , if speed moves then time moves as well as your mass hence why he came up with E=mc2, since energy moves up and down so does m= mass and c=speed .
In a nutshell my time is not your time but we need each others time to communicate and move forward

depending on our mass and speed of our travelling from point A to B.

@ HA...the meaning is immaterial in the context of this thread...concentrate instead on the beauty of the words and the realization will hit you later like a brick travelling at warb factor 10 or the equivalent as you run the words round your mind all will become clear....or not....as the case may be. i read once that the earth is spinning around itself faster than ever before not too fast as we might imagine ..i just checked and it takes 23:56:04 for the earth to complete the rotation around its axis.

or maybe we always complained about how time flies

So it seems there may be a grain of truth in the old adage..."Time flies when you're having fun". In which case does that mean in order to achieve a personal time go slow does it mean I have to be grumpy Crying or Very sad

it is psychic and differs from one era to another . when ur so absorbed with so many dailylife activities time appears short and going faster unlike old times when pple have too much time in their hands, that is why they claim time was much slower!!

We should have more time on our hands as we have all the modern gadgetry to make our lives easier...whereas our ancestors took longer to do the simplest of tasks.

So given that the time frame is the same and it's just our perception of it that has changed. Have we just found more things to occupy the free time our hi tech gadgets have saved us...to do what? Laughing
